LICENSEES: Canwest Auto Inc. (“Canwest”)
ALLEGATIONS:
Following a written hearing (link to decision) in which the Registrar found that Canwest contravened various sections of the Motor Dealer Act Regulation and ordered Canwest to pay an administrative penalty in the amount of $7,500 and investigation and legal costs to the Registrar in the amount of $2,500, Canwest applied for reconsideration of the Registrar’s Decision.
ORDER:
After considering the parties’ written submissions, the Registrar denied Canwest’s request for reconsideration on the basis that no new evidence had become available or had been discovered as required by section 26.12 of the Motor Dealer Act.
