๐Ÿš— Unlock Tax Savings in BC when you buy from a ๐Ÿš— Unlock Tax Savings in BC when you buy from a licensed dealership and trade in your used car! ๐ŸŒŸ

Here's how it works:

๐Ÿ“Š Appraised Value: Dealerships will assess your used vehicle based on mileage, condition, and market trends to offer you a fair trade-in value. You can negotiate this with the dealer.

๐Ÿ’ธ Deduct from New Car Price: The appraised value becomes a tax-saving tool! This trade-in price is deducted from the sales price of your new vehicle.

๐Ÿ”„ Example: Trading in a $25,000 vehicle for a new $60,000 vehicle. Your taxable purchase price would be reduced to just $35,000.

โฐ Timing Matters: To qualify, ensure the trade-in occurs at the time of agreeing on the new car purchase.

๐Ÿš— Exploring a used vehicle? Most licensed deale ๐Ÿš— Exploring a used vehicle? Most licensed dealerships in British Columbia provide a Vehicle History Report (VHR) for transparency.

Each report may cover:
๐Ÿ“‹ Comprehensive vehicle history
๐Ÿข Registration details and title info
๐Ÿšจ Accident and odometer readings
๐Ÿ”ง Maintenance history

Considerations:
๐Ÿš— A VHR is only one step in the buying process
๐Ÿ” If a dealer provides a report, pay attention to the information shown in the report and the representations made by the dealer
๐Ÿ“… Be sure to look at the date the report was run and to any limitations mentioned in the report
๐Ÿง A dealer can be held accountable if misrepresentations about the contents or the accuracy of a report are made
๐Ÿ’ผ Lien checks are essential if you are buying privately. These can be purchased as part of some reports or separately from BC Online.

Important:
๐Ÿšซ These reports are not 100% accurate and many have limitations. Completing a vehicle inspection prior to purchase is highly recommended.
