COMPLAINANT: Vehicle Sales Authority of BC (the “Authority”)
LICENSEES: Karan Sharma
ALLEGATIONS:
The Authority sought cancellation or alternatively suspension of Mr. Sharma’s salesperson’s license, alleging that he had breached section 35(3)(a) of the Motor Dealer Act for providing false or misleading information to a person acting under the Act, and section 33(2)(a) of the Motor Dealer Act Regulations for breaching the Code of Conduct by not acting with honesty and integrity during the course of business.
APPLICATION:
The Authority brought an application under section 7 of the Salesperson Licensing Regulation seeking suspension of Mr. Sharma’s license on an interim basis pending a full hearing of the allegations in the Amended Hearing Notice.
OUTCOME:
Mr. Sharma’s salesperson license was ordered suspended on an interim basis pending further order of the Registrar.
