LICENSEES: Messiah Motor Cars Inc. (“Messiah”) and Bruce Chan (“Mr. Chan”)
ALLEGATIONS:
Following a written hearing (link to decision) in which the Registrar found that Messiah contravened various sections of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act and the Motor Dealer Act Regulation, the Registrar ordered Messiah to pay an administrative penalty in the amount of $40,000.
The Registrar directed the Authority and Messiah to provide further written submissions as to the assessment and quantum of costs.
PENALTY:
The Registrar ordered Messiah to reimburse the Authority’s actual investigation costs and actual legal costs in the amount of $9,357.99.
