Complainant: Vehicle Sales Authority of BC

Licensee/Unlicensed person:
Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd., Pasquale Zampieri, and Jennifer Aiken

Issues:

  • The VSA asserted that it had incurred $11,383.61 in costs, related to the investigation of Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd., Pasquale Zampieri, and Jennifer Aiken.
  • Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd. and Pasquale Zampieri requested that:
  1. No investigative costs be assessed;
  2. The compliance order be rescinded;
  3. They be allowed to apply for a wholesaler licence.

Outcome:

  • The Registrar found that the VSA’s investigative costs were reasonable and justified.
  • The Registrar found that Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd. and Pasquale Zampieri were unreasonable with respect to their approach to the assessment of costs.
  • The Registrar will issue a compliance order requiring Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd. and Pasquale Zampieri to pay $11,383.91 in costs.
  • The Registrar found that there was no evidence of legal or hearing costs.
  • The Registrar reiterated the existence of his prior compliance order.
  • The Registrar declined to address Wild Grizzly Transport Ltd.’s and Pasquale Zampieri’s request regarding obtaining a wholesaler licence.
