Complainant: Vehicle Sales Authority and James Grieve

Licensee/Unlicensed person:

Autolines Motor Group Ltd. (Dealer #40090) and Cory Dewinetz (Salesperson #110800)

Issues:

  • On July 28, 2016, the MVSA, on behalf of the complainant James Grieve, requested reconsideration of the Registrar’s Decision made on July 15, 2016 in which the Registrar found that Autolines Motor Group did supply new rims and tires on the 2007 Volkswagen Golf, as promised and paid for by Mr. Grieve.
  • The complainant provided three photographs taken on November 28, 2014, and July 27, 2016.

Outcome:

  • The Registrar applied section 182 of the Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act.
  • The Registrar was not satisfied that the new evidence was substantial or material to the determination, and was not satisfied the new evidence was unavailable to Mr. Grieve at the time of the hearing. The Registrar denied the reconsideration.
