Complainant: ROBERT CARPENTER (07-70900), LOUISA EWERT (08-70019), KIM HOPE (08-70020), JEANIE DWYER (08-70036), JASON HORYCHUN (08-70162) and ERIC AMUNDSEN (08-70175)

Licensee/Unlicensed person:

JDM Wholesale Ltd.

Issues:

Consumers had prepaid in full for vehicles which were imported into B.C.
JDM failed to provide vehicles as agreed to these consumers.
Some vehicles were missing accessories as promised by JDM
Six consumers sought compensation from the Customer Compensation Fund, which were paid out.
Investigations and the costs to manage JDM were also to be paid from the Customer Compensation Fund.

Outcome:

JDM’s registration was cancelled and may not be re-registered until it reimburses the Compensation Fund.
