Issues:

  • Parminder Bharaj was called to a hearing for failing to comply with a condition on his Salesperson Licence to complete the Level II Salesperson Certification Course by December 31, 2013.
  • The purpose of the Hearing was to consider whether it was in the public interest that Parminder Bharaj’s Salesperson Licence have additional conditions/restrictions placed on it, be suspended, or be cancelled.

Outcome:

  • The history of Mr. Bharaj was not the same as Mr.Bhisi’s. Mr.Bharaj had just come back into the industry a short while ago.
  • Pursuant to Sections 4(1) and 4(3) of the Salesperson Licensing Regulation the Registrar placed the following conditions on Mr. Bharaj’s salesperson licence:
  1. To register and successfully complete the Level II Salesperson Certification Course taking place on March 11/12, 2014; and
  2. that a payment plan be authorized for Mr.Bharaj to pay for the course within a 4 month period.
  • If Mr. Bharaj fails to fulfill and abide by the conditions, the VSA has grounds to consider cancelling or suspending his licence for a period of time, or to refuse to renew his licence.
