and THE SALESPERSON LICENSING REGULATION B.C. Reg. 241/2004

Complainant: REGISTRAR

Licensee/Unlicensed person:

STANLEY STEVEN ROSS

Issues:

  • A hearing was called to review the application of Stanley Ross for licensing as a salesperson.
  • The VSA staff raised the following two concerns:
  • Mr. Ross was previously sanctioned by the BC Securities Commission in 1999 and 2007; and
  • Mr. Ross provided false or incomplete declarations on his initial salesperson application and three subsequent licence renewal applications by failing to advise of the noted sanctions.

Outcome:

  • Mr. Ross’s salesperson licence 115288 is canceled effective immediately. He may not reapply for two years.
  • If there is a disagreement with this decision, it may be challenged by way of a judicial review before the BC Supreme Court under the Judicial Review Procedures Act.
