Registrar's Decision 13-10-001

File Number: 13-10-001

In the matter of THE MOTOR DEALER ACT R.S.B.C. 1996 C.316
and THE SALESPERSON LICENSING REGULATION B.C. Reg. 241/2004

Complainant: REGISTRAR

Licensee/Unlicensed person:

SABBIR SADEQUE

Issues:

  • Mr. Sadeque was called to a hearing to review the condition on his salesperson licence.
  • On July 20, 2012, Mr. Sadeque was sent a letter of condition to complete the level 2 salesperson course by December 1, 2012.
  • Mr. Sadeque delayed taking the level 2 salesperson course several times.
  • On July 9, 2013 Mr. Sadeque registered for the September 11, 2013 class but later cancelled.
  • On September 23, 2013 Mr. Sadeque was issued a Hearing Notice.

Outcome:

  • Mr. Sadeque did not fulfill the licensing conditions that are required by law. By ignoring that, the Registrar had concerns for the public interest that Mr. Sadeque would not fulfil his licensing requirements.
  • The Registrar ordered a suspension of Mr. Sadeque’s salesperson licence. Mr. Sadeque’s licence was to expire the following week.
  • A condition was placed on Mr. Sadeque’s licence that no licence be issued until such time as Mr. Sadeque has completed the level 2 salesperson certification course or its equivalent that exists at the time that he re-applies.
