  • He failed to declare a USA conviction and falsified his work history.
  • The VSA found out about the USA conviction on its own.
  • Salesperson was confronted and amended his application.

Outcome:

  • The criminal conviction of wire fraud and selling foreign lotteries in the USA was related to being a salesperson.
  • Falsification of his application showed a willingness to continue to deceive.
  • Application denied. More time is needed to build trust.
  • Bruce Ironside may not re-apply for 24 months.
