Issues:
A review of the salesperson license of Pierre Baric
Information about a criminal record came to the attention of the VSA which was not declared by Mr. Baric on his licensing applications and renewal applications.
There was also concern about Mr. Baric’s aggressive conduct while interacting with VSA staff at its office and reports of similar conduct with dealership employees.
Outcome:
Mr. Baric’s Criminal record was not in relation to his occupation and not grounds to cancel his license: Section 14 B.C. Human Rights Code.
The Registrar accepted Mr. Baric’s reasons for failing to declare the criminal record.
The Registrar had concerns about Mr. Baric’s aggressive conduct with staff and dealership employee’s.
Mr. Baric was directed to take anger management courses and advise the Manager of Licensing of his efforts within 30 days.
Mr. Baric was advised to make proper declarations on his application renewals. Any future failure would be grounds to suspend or cancel his license.
Mr. Baric’s license is to be reviewed in six months.
