Jim Nicholson is a strategic, results-driven Senior Executive with experience across a broad portfolio including customer care, operations, sales & marketing and human resources.  Holding senior roles in Utilities, Forest Products and Industrial sectors, Jim is a passionate customer advocate and skilled business leader.

Still active in the Utility industry, Jim has served on and chaired numerous Operational Committees and Strategic Capital Projects. He continues to facilitate Electricity Fundamentals programs to North American utilities and acts as a coach and leadership skills instructor to executives on a contract basis.  Most recently he took a leave from the VSA Board to act as the Interim CEO for the VSA.

Jim has served as the Board Vice Chair and Chair of the Finance and Audit Committee.

Other activities Jim has been involved in, include:

• Representing BC Hydro nationally as a member of the Canadian Electricity Association’s Customer Council,
• Board Vice Chair of the Downtown Vancouver Business Association and Chair of its Sustainability Committee,
• Board Vice President for the North Shore Counselling Centre Society, and
• Longstanding member of the Vancouver Board of Trade and the BC Human Resource Management Association.

Widely respected within his vast network, he excels in cultivating deep and lasting relationships with customers, executive leadership and industry partners.  In addition to his strong business operations background, Jim has the ability to translate his passions and experience into his coaching, facilitation and board assignments, making him a sought-after professional across a broad spectrum of industries.

Jim is a British Columbia Institute of Technology graduate, Certified Master Trainer, Certified Emotional Intelligence Coach and a Certified Leadership Circle Facilitator.
