SCAM ALERT: March 17, 2021

Crownauto-sales.com and crown-auto.ca are websites that are NOT associated with legitimate dealerships.  Do not conduct a transaction with any business associated with these websites.

Beware of ads and websites claiming to be legitimate motor dealers that are not. Here are some tips about what you can do to prevent being a victim of an online scam:

• Ensure the dealer is licensed.  If they are based in BC, use the VSA Licensee Search to confirm they are a VSA licensed motor dealer.  Do not conduct any transactions before making certain they are a legitimate dealership
• Use the VSA Buying Guide for helpful information about purchasing a vehicle, including tips for buying online and more

Remember- if the deal on their website or ad seems too good to be true, it usually is! Do your research, be inquisitive, and contact VSA Consumer Services if you have any questions.
